  • Restaurant inspection results are kept by the city or county health department; many publish them online or post the latest grade at the door.
  • For table service a tip of 15–20% is customary; at counter-service places tipping is optional.

This will be our second time experiencing this in this restaurant. We had a really disappointing experience here. The service was poor from start to finish. When we finished eating, the waitress suddenly asked if we needed our plates changedβ€”way too late to matter. Then when we paid, she actually told us the tip wasn’t enough, which felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. For a $150 bill, we left $20, which reflects the level of service we received. My mom even added another $5, but honestly, it didn’t feel deserved. The food was also not great. The shrimp inside the tofu tasted bad, the lobster dish was probably the worst I’ve had, and the noodles were just okay at best. On top of that, we were extremely thirsty the entire day afterwardβ€”it felt like there was way too much MSG used. Overall, not a place I would return to or recommend. If you’re in Edison, you’re much better off going to DimSum Seafood Restaurant on US-1 in Avenel instead.

One of the better places to get traditional dim sum in my area. Service is good. The place is pretty neat and spacious. The food is great. You can't go wrong here. I always end up in a good coma every time I eat here. Just good, authentic Cantonese Cuisine.

Please note: This review reflects our experience with weekend dim sum only. I have not dined here for dinner, so I can’t speak to that aspect of the restaurant. Dim sum here follows the classic weekend tradition: ladies and gentlemen push carts through the dining room, and you select dishes by peering at what’s stacked on their trays. Unlike Chinatown, nothing is announced aloud. With a packed house, the resulting cacophony makes conversation a challenge. You often have to strain just to be heard. Here’s what we tried: ~Deep-fried shrimp with salt & pepper – Flavor was decent, but very messy. β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜† ~Baked sweet egg yolk buns – Best enjoyed piping hot. β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜† ~Steamed sticky rice with pork sausage (lotus leaf) – Lacked filling. β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜† ~Steamed spareribs with black bean sauce – Too little sauce, and the meat was tough. β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜† ~Steamed bean curd roll with pork – Rubbery skin and barely any pork. β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜† ~Steamed chicken feet with black bean sauce – Again, too little sauce. β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜† ~Roasted pork pastry – Too doughy and dry. β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜† ~Deep-fried squid with salt & pepper – Skin membrane wasn’t fully removed before cooking. β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜†β˜† Service was noticeably lacking. After being seated, we were largel

Golden Seafood might work if you're looking for a very budget-friendly dim sum option, but don't expect great service or standout dishes. when tea was brought to the table before I was even asked what kind I wanted. When I mentioned that I hadn't ordered it, the waiter told me that if I wanted anything different from what he had already served, I would have to pay an additional service fee. That interaction alone left a sour impression and made the meal feel more frustrating than enjoyable.
